From February to June 2011, The Brisbane Samba School will help create some noise in and around Suncorp stadium during the home games of the Queensland Reds. We will play before the game on the Southern plaza outside, and during the game we will add to the atmosphere inside the stadium.

Why not join us as a percussionist in 2009? You'll learn to play samba as it's played in the annual Carnaval of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. You'll learn 'paradinhas' (breaks), arrangements for individual instruments, and how to play a variety of samba styles. Regardless of your musical experience - you'll improve your rhythm, listening skills and have a great time in the process. A typical samba school rehearsal is as much a social event and a party as it is a chance to learn real Brazilian music!

To allow you to try it out, we offer you the first class for free if you didn't enjoy it. After that, the cost per class is only $10, or you can buy 5 vouchers for $40, to be used at any time.
